How To Use The Lessons

Welcome to Effortless English. To improve quickly, you must follow this specific method: One lesson set, every day, for at least a week.

Overview

Important: Save the email and link you received. Do not lose it. It is the only way you can download each lesson set.

Each lesson "Set" has at least 4 different lessons. All lessons in a Set have the same name (e.g., "Secret Love"). These lessons go together.

Every day, you will listen to all the lessons in ONE lesson SET. You will listen to only one set for a week or more.

This is very important. You will only improve quickly if you follow this method. Do not switch lesson sets every day.

The Lesson Types

1. Text Article (PDF)

Read the article and review the wordlist. Do not "study" or memorize it. Just read it a couple of times each day.

2. Vocabulary Lesson (MP3)

Just listen. Don't memorize. Listen to this 1–3 times each day for at least a week.

3. Mini-Story (MP3)

MOST POWERFUL

The most important lesson. Listen and pause after each question. Answer loudly in English. Don't worry about mistakes.

4. Audio Article (MP3)

Just listen. Relax and enjoy it. Your goal is to understand 100% instantly and automatically.

5. Point of View Stories

Improve grammar fluency without studying. Just listen carefully. Do not think about grammar rules.

6. Commentaries (Optional)

Extra talks about the topic. If they are too difficult, skip them. If you understand 75%+, listen and relax.

Mini-Story Instructions

I will do only three things:

  • 1 I make a statement. You say, "Ahhhh" or "Ohhhh".
  • 2 I ask a question you know. You answer with one or two words.
  • 3 I ask a question you don't know. Guess immediately.

The Goal: Speed is your goal. You want short, fast answers, not long answers! Eventually try to answer instantly, without using your pause button.

Learning Schedule

Study one lesson set for a week or more

Only one set. If you get bored, make it a game—try to answer faster. Repetition goes deep into your brain.

Listen at least one hour every day

Two hours is best. Divide your time: morning, commute, lunch, before bed.

Start with Level 1

These are the easiest. Even if they seem easy, listen for a full week. Then move to Level 2, then Level 3.

Relax :)

Do not think about grammar rules. There is no pressure. Just listen and answer. If you have trouble, go back to the beginning.
